JOB PURPOSE

  • The Global Equity team are responsible for administering the Unilever share plans and sit within the Global Reward Expertise team. At Unilever, we aim to use Reward as a growth enabler, allowing us to recruit and retain the talent we need for our business to thrive. Our share plans play an integral part of that and are offered to over 120,000 of our employees in over 100 countries.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the end-to-end award and vesting processes for our Executive Share Plans (performance-based plans and restricted stock) including:

  • Analyse and consolidate equity award data in accordance with global guidelines and policies
  • Work closely with Global Reward, Country Reward Teams, Finance/Treasury, Country Payroll Teams, Corporate Tax, HR Teams, Global Mobility, Corporate Secretaries, Exec Comp and ancillary Global departments to ensure award and vesting accuracy and to meet accounting and financial reporting requirements.
  • Oversee processes with third party providers including Deloitte, Computershare, Fidelity & Legal compliance partners
  • Manage equity data flow to our internal total reward database – My Reward – to ensure our employees have a full overview of their reward package
  • Lead preparation and distribution of all communications to eligible employees
  • Manage Global Equity mailbox

Manage the end-to-end process of our Global Employee Share Purchase Plan "SHARES”, including:

  • Reconciliation of monthly contribution files
  • Work with various internal and external stakeholder to process quarterly vests, quarterly purchases & annual enrolment
  • Manage SHARES mailbox
  • Maintain documentation for all processes related to the SHARES plan.

Other responsibilities

  • Provide functional, system or local subject matter expertise
  • Provision of data for the DRR, year-end reporting, regulatory filings, market disclosures and other report requests
  • Maintain documentation for all processes.
  • Own and deliver operational projects to support continuous improvement, automation and enhance employee experience
  • Opportunity to work on additional wider Reward projects for skill development as well as building cross-functional talent and coverage

ALL ABOUT YOU

Relevant Experience

  • ICSA Share Plans qualification preferable but not essential
  • Suitable years of global share plan experience
  • Stakeholder management including third party service providers

Professional Skills:

  • Exceptional analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills – must be able to effectively communicate complex information to employees at all levels within the organization.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to be a team player while demonstrating the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to build relationships with a large number of stakeholders
  • Ability to proactively multitask in a fast-paced environment and prioritise to meet non-negotiable deadlines

Recruitment Fraud

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs.  These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.

How is Unilever tackling this?

Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
